We always shop "out of season" for item. We also hit the clearance racks in the food isles . I buy clearance dry foods take them home and the pack them in mylar bags with absorbers to extend the life of the product

Don't forget: baking soda hydrogen peroxide Iodine alcohol cheap vodka (trade item) something to wipe your butt with cartons of cheap cigs (trade item) automotive fluids extra tires, headlights, belts, filters, brake pads, for your vehicle medical supplies books on anything related to survival/homesteading/farming, quit using an app for everything fishing supplies stuff to feed your pew pew

I live near the ocean I get salt from the water and clams I don’t buy seed starting mix. I just use compost. Only thing worth buying is beef. Canning it so you don’t need refrigeration.

On board with most of it, but not a dehydrator! We had one, and when we tried to reconstitute the food, it was tough and horrid.

I almost exclusively buy off-season as well. Always great deals.

I do a 12 can rolling gas system that I got from Jack Spirko of the survival podcast. Bought 12 x 6 gallon cans, one at a time over time, filled them as budget would allow. Made a cheap 2x4 rack in the garage for them, then I take one a month, dump it in my truck and go refill it. 72 gallons of gas on hand that doesn’t go bad.
